TAYLORSVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Local officials are trying to identify the remains of a man found in central Kentucky.

Detective Russell Cranmer of the Spencer County Sheriff's department says two hunters found the skeletal remains in a remote area near Taylorsville Lake.

Cranmer says the man has been dead from six months to two years. He says the man was six feet tall, with reddish gray hair and wore a size 13 shoe.

The remains are being transported to the state anthropologist for an autopsy.
