Strong and severe storms continue to push across central and eastern Kentucky. This action should begin to wind down over the next few hours.
The lights are slowly coming back on this afternoon in Richmond, after several power lines fell, causing a power outage from I-75 to Lancaster Avenue.
Over three-thousand customers lost power this morning, when several transformers blew out, causing power lines to fall.
Kentucky Utilities Officials are saying a squirrel is to blame for the outage, after it somehow caused the transformers to explode, and the power lines to snap.
Businesses, residents and traffic lights were without power for over three hours, while officials worked to correct the problem.
Fire crews were also on patrol, after some of the downed lines actually caused some small grass fires.
