What started out as an argument, ends with an eastern Kentucky man dead.
State Police say 28-year-old Timmy Scott Riggs was shot late last night near a Rowan County home.
He later died at a hospital.
But tonight, police still have many questions about why this all happened.
It's a cold blooded killing, but one state police say was not random.
Family members found Timmy Riggs shot outside his girlfriend's trailer in Clearfield.
Just before nine Monday night, neighbors say they heard an argument. That's when a car pulled up outside the mobile home. Someone inside called for Riggs to come outside, and when he did, family members say someone shot him in the chest.
The 28-year-old took off running and collapsed in a neighbor's backyard.
Riggs' mother says her son had no known enemies, so it's baffling to the family someone would shoot him like this.
Police have no witnesses to the murder, but they do tell us they're interviewing several people of interest.
State police say Riggs died from that single gunshot wound to the chest.
