Surveillance Video Shows Robber Put Gun To Clerk's Head

A scary morning for a Lexington clerk who had a gun pointed in her face by a would-be robber.

The man held up the Walgreens on Richmond Road early Wednesday morning and police want your help in tracking him down.

A few minutes after four, a man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt walked into the store.

Surveillance video shows the man hanging around the isle near the register. Police say he was casing out the store.

The robber then struck up a conversation with the clerk. Seconds later, the video shows the man tell the clerk she's being robbed, but the clerk was so frightened she could barely move. That's when the man pulled out his gun, cocked it and pointed it directly at the clerk's head.

The video shows the man grab what he thought was case and run from the store, but it turns out he didn't get any money.

The incident left the clerk shaken and police are concerned that the robber could strike again. No one in the store was hurt.

The suspect is described as a white man, in his late teens to early 20s, with brown hair and blue eyes. He stands around 6'1 and weighs between 150-170lbs. He had on a hoodie and jeans.
