Concern today at a central Kentucky high school, as news is released of a student with a gun.
Officials say a 16-year-old Madison Southern High School student had the gun on the bus and at school all day, and school leaders didn't even know about it until two days later.
Yesterday, parents received a letter from the Madison Southern principal, stating that a student had brought a gun to school on Monday.
School officials say the student's mother discovered the gun, and then turned over the weapon to the Madison County Sheriff's Department.
It's still not clear if the gun was loaded at the time.
That student could now face a felony charge, as well as expulsion.
Madison County Sheriff's Department is involved in the on-going investigation.
