Gas Prices Increase; Find The Cheapest Gas

Updated: Thu 2:10 PM, Nov 01, 2007

It's gone up again!

The price for a gallon of gas started in the $2.70's this week, and has now passed the three dollar mark.

This is the first time since July 17th that gas prices here in Lexington have gone over the three dollar mark.

As for the reason behind the price increase, oil prices surged to a record high today, going for $96/a barrel.

That increase came on the heels of the Federal Reserve's decision to lower interest rates.

The price for a barrel of oil has more than quadrupled since 2002.
