Attempted Child Abduction Near Lexington School

An attempted child abduction in Lexington this morning.

We're told a man tried to grab a 13-year-old girl, as she walked to Lexington Traditional Magnet School, along Glass Alley.

Police say the man grabbed her by both arms, but she fought back, and was able to get away.

Authorities say the man is described as an African-American male, about 5 foot 11 inches tall, in his late 20s or early 30s, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

The Lexington Police Department have increased patrols in the area.
