A former Kentucky Sheriff's Deputy is facing charges tonight, after police say he shot his wife to death, then led them on a wild chase.
It all happened this morning in Russell County, not far from the Casey County line.
Kentucky State Police say a Deputy arrived at a home on Decatur Road after a domestic disturbance where a woman was shot and killed.
Police say the suspect, 61-year-old Ronald Copely, fled in his vehicle, and led deputies on a chase until he wrecked. Police say Copely then ran away on foot, but was quickly captured.
Copley is in the Russell County Hospital at this time where he is being treated for injuries he received in the crash.
Police say he will be taken to jail once released, where he will be charged with first degree murder, wanton endangerment, and burglary, because he was found inside a trailer.
