Reference To American Revolution Deleted In Capitol Display

FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - An incorrect reference to the "Star Spangled Banner" has been fixed in a historical display at the Kentucky Capitol.

The display once said the song was used as a rallying cry during the American Revolution.

Problem was, Francis Scott Key didn't write "The Star Spangled Banner" until 1814.

Officials deleted the reference after The Associated Press reported the inaccuracy.

A pastor at the Corbin church that donated the display said it was a typographical error.

Governor Ernie Fletcher ordered the exhibit that includes the Ten Commandments and the Magna Carta to be put on display this week in the capitol.
