A scare for workers at a Lexington plant, when a fire broke out.
It happened at the JIF plant on Winchester Road.
It's the only place where the popular JIF Peanut Butter is made.
The factory is back in operation after a fire broke out this morning.
Peanuts that were undergoing a roasting process became too hot, sending thick smoke throughout the building.
Internal sprinklers and on-site firefighters worked quickly to put the fire out.
While the fire caused minimal damage to the equipment, it slowed mid-morning traffic on Winchester Road.
No one was injured in the fire.
The plant is owned by the J.M Smucker Company.
