Big Blue Crush Competition Halfway Over

The annual blood drive competition between Kentucky and Tennessee is halfway over.

And with Tennessee winning the past three years, some are wondering if UK will be able to pick up the lead.

We have started the second half of the Big Blue Crush and while many people have already come out to give blood, Kentucky is still trailing Tennessee in the annual competition

Right now Tennessee has the lead, so we really need to turn up the heat and get people out.

And you wont have to travel to campus to donate. The Kentucky Blood Center in Beaumont Centre Circle is open each day from 8 am - 8 pm.

Even though you'll be giving blood, you'll be leaving with a lot more. If you're a blood donor this week, you get a free value meal from McDonalds, a free t-shirt, and a chance to win tickets to the sold out UK vs. Tennessee game.

Blood donations received through Friday will go towards the Big Blue Crush competition, but everyone is encouraged to continue giving through the holidays..
