Neighbor Spots Flames, Calls 911

Fire crews responded to a house fire in Jessamine County this morning. It happened on Poortown Road, off U.S. 27, across from the Camp Nelson Cemetery.

A neighbor saw the flames and called 911.

The fire chief says most of the damage was to one room. They believe the fire started in a bedroom or living room area.

The couple who lives there was not at home at the time of the fire.
