Delay In Child Death Case

Updated: Thu 4:42 PM, Nov 15, 2007

More delays in the case against a Clark County couple accused of killing their daughter.

This afternoon, prosecutors told a judge they're still waiting on lab results from the crime scene.

In March, 10-year-old Michaela Watkins was found dead in her bedroom.

Prosecutors say Michaela died from abuse.

But Patrick and Joy Watkins say they're innocent, and Michaela's injuries were from falling in a bathrub and down stairs.

However, investigators say the ten-year-old was badly beaten and burned.

A judge won't hear the case again until January.
