Making Sure Donated Toys Are Safe

It's the season for giving, but one organization is taking extra steps to make sure the toy donations it's getting for Christmas are safe.

That's because of a recent rash of toy recalls involving many products from China.

The Salvation Army has a new safety plan for its Angel Tree program.

Those wanting to make a donation will now get a list of recalled toys when they choose a child to shop for.

Salvation Army volunteers will use the same list to check these toys which have already been donated.
