It's the season for giving, but one organization is taking extra steps to make sure the toy donations it's getting for Christmas are safe.
That's because of a recent rash of toy recalls involving many products from China.
The Salvation Army has a new safety plan for its Angel Tree program.
Those wanting to make a donation will now get a list of recalled toys when they choose a child to shop for.
Salvation Army volunteers will use the same list to check these toys which have already been donated.
