Police in Jessamine and Garrard County want to catch up with three people who led them on high speed chase for three miles before ditching a truck on a farm.
Kevin Gilliam spotted three people trying to steal a trailer outside his Garrard County business.
"I called 9-1-1 and the people with the trailer took off," says Gilliam.
He soon realized the people in the truck were involved in stealing several appliances, including a washer and dryer, earlier Thursday night.
"I just couldn't let it go. It look like they we're going to get away so I got in my truck and I headed up behind them," says Gilliam.
Gilliam chased them for three miles while on the phone with police. Deputies soon jumped in the chase. That's when the suspects broke a guardrail and destroyed several fences on Terry Lunsford's farm on Greystone Drive, off U.S. 27.
It left Lunsford with more than $8,000 worth of damage and several horse broke free. One of the prized horses died when it was hit by a semi truck on Highway 27.
Police say the suspects ditched the truck before taking off in some nearby woods.
