Jail Worker Arrested For Allegedly Impersonating Police Officer

It will be next month before a Fayette County Jail employee will appear in a Clark County courtroom.

Ronald Gaunce is scheduled for arraignment on December 4th.

Gaunce was arrested Sunday afternoon in Clark County.

Police say he used lights and a siren to try to pull over a driver on Interstate 64.

Police responded to the scene, when they received a 911 call from a driver, asking for assistance with a high-speed chase.

Gaunce says the whole thing was a misunderstanding.

He bonded out of the jail Sunday night.

Jail officials tell 27 NEWSFIRST Gaunce is now on paid administrative leave, pending the results of an investigation.
