School Board Approves Silberman's Contract Extension

Updated: Tue 12:31 AM, Nov 20, 2007

Fayette County School Superintendent Stu Silberman isn't going anywhere for a while.
On Monday night, the school board unanimously voted to approve a four-year contract extension for Silberman.
The extension runs through June of 2012, but does not include a salary increase at Silberman's request.
The superintendent says he is looking forward to the future.
Test scores are up in Fayette county since Silberman took over in 2004.
Monday was the earliest possible time... the school board could offer him an extension.
