Violent Home Invasion Sends Teen To Hospital

A scary morning for a Winchester teen when he wakes up to find someone inside his home.

The boy confronted the burglar and ended up in the hospital.

His mother told 27 NEWSFIRST that her son was beaten and robbed.

She says a man barged into their home on Dale Drive in Winchester early this morning.

The victim's mother says her 15-year old son caught the suspect red handed, trying to steal a camouflage 22-caliber gun, stored near the front door.

The woman says that's when the teen was assaulted by the suspect.

Her son was taken to the hospital to get checked out.

Police say this case is still under investigation.

Police have not named a suspect, but they tell us, when caught, the person will be charged with first degree robbery and assault.
