Thanks to thousands of dollars in donations more than a hundred Kentucky soldiers will be able to spend the holidays at home.

136 soldiers from the 438th military police company will be able to come home in time for Christmas. 20 of the soldiers are based in Richmond.
They've been training in New Jersey.

Now, a program called "Bring a Soldier Home", has raised more than $25,000 to pay for their travel expenses. One of the soldier's wives led the fundraising effort. The unit will be sent to Iraq in January.
