MOREHEAD, Ky.—Morehead State men’s basketball will be a No. 13 seed and will face fourth-seeded Louisville in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The game, as part of the Southwest Region, will be played in Denver, Colo. in the Pepsi Center on Thursday, March 17.

The matchup was announced Sunday night on CBS Sports’ annual selection show, televised in front of a group of Eagle faithful that gathered at Johnson Arena with the team.

This will be the fourth NCAA Tournament meeting between MSU and the Cardinals. This will also mark the third straight NCAA Tournament that the Eagles have faced Louisville. U of L leads the all-time series 12-29 with the last meeting in the 2009 Tournament first round.

Morehead State is 24-9 overall and captured its second Ohio Valley Conference Tournament title in the past three years last Saturday with an 80-73 win over Tennessee Tech. The Eagles, led by fifth-year coach Donnie Tyndall, have had a school-record three consecutive 20-win seasons.
