One Suspect Caught In Vending Machine Theft Ring

Central Kentucky police receive a partial break in the investigation into a theft ring involving vending machines.

Police say a total of $30,000 could have been stolen over the past several weeks from vending machines in Jessamine and possibly Fayette Counties.

Lexington Police arrested Jerome Slaughter, 44, Monday.

He's now lodged in the Jessamine County Jail, charged with felony theft.

Early Tuesday morning, Lexington Police found an SUV wanted in the thefts at the Speedway gas station on Euclid Avenue.

Police didn't find any suspects with the vehicle.

Authorities in Jessamine County still have a warrant out for one suspect in the thefts.
