FRANKFORT, Ky. (AP) - The Kentucky Public Service Commission is asking professional football fans to not contact them regarding television coverage.
P-S-C spokesman Andrew Melnykovich says the commission, which regulates utilities in Kentucky, is being inundated with e-mails from people wanting the N-F-L Network. Melnykovich says the commission does not have authority to force cable companies to offer the network.
The N-F-L Network broadcasts certain games exclusively. But, many cable companies aren't offering the network.
Melnykovich says the commission has been receiving up to 25 e-mails per week on the matter.
Chairman Mark David Goss says such complaints are better directed at the Federal Communications Commission or local governments that issue cable television franchises.
Melnykovich says the network has a Web site, www-iwantmynflnetwork.com, which urges fans to contact state officials.
