Kentucky Kingdom Accident Victim Takes First Steps

Posted: Wed 8:28 AM, Dec 05, 2007

The 14-year-old Louisville girl whose foot was severed on a ride while at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom has taken her first steps since the June accident.

The Courier-Journal reports Kaitlyn Lassiter received a prosthetic left leg.

Doctors were able to reattach her right foot but Lassiter's parents say it may be months before they know if her body will accept the foot.

Kaitlyn's parents also say their daughter still suffers pain and depression.

A cable broke on the Superman Tower of Power ride injuring Lassiter.

The Lassiters have sued Kentucky Kingdom.
