Tips on Charitable Giving

It's the season for giving, but Kentucky's Attorney General wants to make sure crooks don't take advantage of your generousity.

Greg Stumbo says he wants everyone to be on guard against fraudulent charities.
His office has launched an updated website, which allows consumers to see just how much of a donation actually goes to the charity.

He says most charities must register with his office, so people know they're legit.

Consumers can review records of registered active charitable campaigns online, by clicking on the link below, or by calling 1-888-432-9257.
