Accused Child-Killer Heads To Court

The case against a man accused of killing a six-year-old boy is moving closer to trial.

A status hearing took place in a Bourbon County courtroom on Tuesday morning for Lewis 'Buck' Ballard.

Ballard will stand trial in July for the murder of Wesley Mullins. Investigators say Ballard killed the boy inside the garage of Mullins' grandfather this summer.

Ballard was living with the grandfather at the time of the crime.
