LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - A former college student has been indicted on murder charges in the death of her daughter, who police say drowned in a dormitory toilet.

Kathryn "Katie" McCoy was also indicted Thursday on charges of tampering with physical evidence for allegedly giving birth to a baby girl on Oct. 23 and then concealing the body.

McCoy has pleaded not guilty. The 19-year-old former student at Bellarmine University is free on $50,000 bond.

The charges came after a baby girl was found in a gym bag in McCoy's dorm room at Anniversary Hall on Bellarmine's campus.

Police said McCoy gave birth to a baby girl in the bathroom of her dorm room and then let the infant fall into the toilet.
