High School Examines Damage Caused By Hackers

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - School officials in Louisville say two students and a former student from Manual High School hacked into the school's computer system.

They're accused of changing grades, marking up extra credit, changing attendance records and creating a Web site named after principal Beverly Keepers.

The school hasn't yet pressed charges, but the two current students have been suspended with a recommendation they be sent to alternative school.

The school's information technology director says officials are trying to find everything that was changed and fix it. They also want to find out precisely how the hackers got in.

They worked at a computer parts store.
