A student's belt put an entire school on lockdown.
The Owningsville Police Department says school officials were doing routine locker checks at Bath County High when they discovered an ammunition belt in a student's locker.
At that point the school was put on lockdown.
The chief says he came out and inspected the belt. It was actual ammunition, but the bullets had already been used.
After interviewing the female student who used the locker, police discovered she had ordered it off the internet to use for an actual belt.
The girl had the belt in her locker because a friend who had borrowed it returned it to her at school. No charges were filed.
