LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - Hospitals in Lexington are boiling water
to ensure safety after a water main was broken during construction.
The boil water advisory was issued for the University of
Kentucky's Chandler Hospital, Kentucky Clinic, the VA Medical
Center and several colleges.
University officials expect regular water service to be restored
A heavy piece of construction equipment caused the water main to
fracture, causing minor flooding near Chandler Hospital's heating
and cooling plant.
A university official says the hospitals have brought in thousands of bottles of water, hand sanitizers and ice.
