The cold front is now working into eastern Kentucky with winds gusting to near 40mph at times. Temps have dropped into the 30s behind the front and we've had reports of sleet and snow mixing with the rain in Lexington.
A crash involving a police cruiser led to a major traffic tie-up this morning in Fayette County.
Police say the officer was helping a farmer get some loose cattle back into a field on Russell Cave Road near the interstate.
A cattle truck wasn't able to stop in time and swerved to the right, hitting the farmer's truck parked on the side of the road which then slammed into the cruiser.
Police say there were no injuries, but the traffic backed up in the area as crews worked to clear the damaged vehicles from the road.
