A Lexington high school student is making sure one of her best friends, who died earlier this month, isn't forgotten this holiday season.
Chad Stuart was killed in a car crash December 2nd. Now Alex Ray, 16, is honoring his memory by helping others. Ray, and other teens, have begun a campaign to buy toys for sick and disadvantaged children.
Ray says this project has brought her joy, and is helping her put her friend's death in perspective. Their goal is to buy 100 toys for kids at both the Shriner's Hospital and the Methodist Home for Children.
