Dozens Rounded Up In Clark County Drug Sting

Police rounded up dozens of people in Clark County on Thursday after a nearly year-long investigation into drug trafficking in the county.

Kentucky State Police, Winchester Police and the Clark County Sheriff's Office took part in the round-up which started at around five in the morning.

They had 48 warrants to serve; police say they arrested about half of those. Most of the suspects were wanted for trafficking a controlled substance. Everyone who was arrested was taken to the Clark County Detention Center.

Police officers say the people they didn't arrest on Thursday will likely be tracked down and arrested over the next few days.
