Former Teacher Asks For Shock Probation

A judge in Fayette County will take her time to rule on a shock probation request from a former teacher who pleaded guilty to having sex with underage girls.

Anthony Graves was sentenced to five years in prison back in June for using a minor in a sexual performance.

On Friday, he expressed remorse and asked the judge for probation.

But at the last minute, the family of Graves' teenage victim gave a letter to the judge, asking her to keep him behind bars. The judge said she'd need more time to look over the letter before making a decision.

No word on when she may rule on his request for probation.

Graves was fired from his teaching position at Bryan Station High School last year.
