HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) - Police aren't releasing any details about the death of a Marshall University student whose body was found in a crawl space at her apartment building.
Huntington police announced today that the body has been positively identified as that of 21-year-old Leah Hickman.
An autopsy has been completed but police declined to release any information on how Hickman died.
Police say Hickman's death is being investigated as a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
Investigators found the body Friday evening in a common laundry room in the basement of the building where Hickman had lived.
The last known contact with Hickman was a cell phone conversation with a friend late on the afternoon of Dec. 14th.
Marshall President Stephen J. Kopp says the school and the community are saddened by Hickman's death, and she will be missed.
