Man Hospitalized After Stabbing

Police say a man's neighbor stabbed him and hit him over the head with a baseball bat several times.

Police say the men were having a party on St. John's Road in Franklin County early Wednesday morning.

Police say alcohol caused things to get out of control.

Larry Engler, 35, is charged with second-degree assault.

Police say Engler stabbed his neighbor, Chris Beagle, Sr., in the thigh.

Beagle was taken to the hospital in Frankfort.

He is expected to be all right.
