Updated: Wed 9:05 AM, Dec 26, 2007

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Fire officials say an elderly man is dead
after a fire broke out in his house.

Okolona fire officials did not release the man's name, but said
he was in his 70s and lived alone.

The man's house was destroyed.

The fire was reported about 8 p.m. on Tuesday and about 40
firefighters responded.

The cause is still being investigated, but Okolona fire Chief
Rich Carlson said investigators believe it was accidental and may
have started in the back of the home.
