If you plan to hit the roads, Kentucky State Police will be watching.
Police will increase patrols and safety checkpoints, beginning at six o'clock Friday night. Extra patrols will last until early New Year's Day.
Police say they'll be watching for speeders, those not wearing their seat belts, child restraints and impaired driving.
