Teen Blames Teacher For Injury That Caused Vision Loss In Lawsuit

RICHMOND, Ky. (AP) - A teen is suing a former teacher he says is responsible for faulty exercise equipment which blinded the former student in one eye.

Eighteen-year-old Josey Cruse has filed a lawsuit against Aaron Ball, a health and physical education teacher at Madison Southern High School.

Cruse lost vision in his left eye after an exercise band he was using during a weightlifting class taught by Cruse snapped and struck him in the eye on April 12.

Cruse, who has since graduated, claims Ball failed to properly supervise him or maintain the weight room equipment.

Neither Ball nor acting superintendent Glenn Marshall could not be reached for comment
