Look for storms to increase from the west the rest of the afternoon. Heavy rain, strong winds and lightning are the main threats.
It could be a crushing blow to an already struggling mall. Dillards officials tell 27 NEWSFIRST they're making plans to close their Turfland Mall location in March.
The store has helped anchor the mall for years but a company spokesman says the store is under-performing and not making enough money to sustain business.
There are 150 employees affected by the closure and the store is already trying to relocate as many of them as possible to other Dillard locations in Central Kentucky, including the Fayette Mall store.
Shoppers worry when Dillards closes its doors, the few remaining stores left in Turfland Mall will be forced to follow in their footsteps.
The Mall would not comment on its future in Lexington and what impact the Dillards closure might have on it, but many of the stores left tell 27 NEWSFIRST they are already making plans to move or close for good.
The Turfland Mall Dillards isn't the only major store closing in Lexington. Both Comp USA and Eddie Bauer have announced their Lexington locations will close in 2008.
