A man has died after investigators say his ATV crashed in Rowan County Monday night.
The Rowan County Coroner's Office says 41-year-old Doyle Rayburn, of Morehead, was traveling south of Old Hilda Road, when he lost control and crashed just after 6:30 p.m.
Investigators say Rayburn's ATV went off the road, traveled through a ditch, and struck a guide wire of a utility pole. Rayburn was also thrown off the vehicle.
Emergency crews took Rayburn to a nearby hospital, where he later died.
Investigators say Rayburn was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
