Lexington Police are searching for suspects in a gas station robbery.

Police were called to the B.P. Station on Versailles Road, near Alexandria Drive around 12:30 Tuesday morning.

Police say a man came in, asked for change, then tried to grab money from the register. When the clerk tried to close the register, the robber knocked it to the ground. The register popped open, spilling money on the floor.

The suspect took off with cash in a getaway car that had a driver. A witness followed the suspects, but lost track of them.

27 NEWSFIRST obtained surveillance video of the robbery Tuesday afternoon.

No one was hurt in the robbery. Police say the suspect never showed a weapon.
