Police Say Lexington Murder Was Gang-Related

Lexington Police now say the last murder of 2007 was the result of gang on gang violence.

On December 21, 19-year-old Luis Quiroz was found shot in his car on Trail Wood Lane.

Late Tuesday, police arrested a 15-year-old boy for the deadly shooting, charging him with murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Another 15-year-old and two 17-year-olds were charged with complicity to murder.

Police also arrested Adrian Buenrostro, 18, and Isias Manuel, 19, and Matthew Robey, 26.

They are charged with complicity to murder.

In court documents obtained by 27 NEWSFIRST, police stated that Robey forced the 15-year-old murder suspect to cause harm to Quiroz, which led to Quiroz's death.

Police say they spent much of the day on Tuesday, rounding up and arresting the suspects. Police say they are all members of the Latin Kings gang.
