Man Charged With DUI After Allegedly Causing Two Crashes

Updated: Fri 11:17 AM, Feb 05, 2010

A DUI suspect and another driver were sent to the hospital after two crashes Tuesday night in Boyle County.

Danville police say Brent McGinnis of Harrodsburg was driving drunk on the U.S. 127 bypass when he caused two accidents. No one was injured in the first wreck.

However, in the second wreck, rescuers used the jaws of life to get Bethel Caldwell out of her SUV. She was flown to UK hospital where she's listed in good condition.

McGinnis went to the hospital, then to jail.

He's charged with DUI, wanton endangerment, assault and other traffic charges.
