Former Professor Killed In Crash On Busy Lexington Road

The crash happened just after 6:00 p.m. Wednesday on Iron Works Pike at Research Center Drive.

That's where investigators say Dr. Keon Chi's SUV pulled out from Research Center Drive into the path of an oncoming truck on Iron Works Pike.

Dr. Chi worked as a political science professor at Georgetown College for 35 years before retiring in 2006.

The driver of the truck was injured and taken to the hospital.

Officials say his injuries are not life-threatening.
