School officials in Madison County have begun their search for a new superintendent and appointed a new interim to fill the position in the meantime

Tommy Floyd, who has been the district's chief academic officer since July 2006, will fill the position. Acting superintendent Glenn Marshall resigned to make way for the interim.

The Board of Education is searching for a replacement for Michael Caudill who died last month. Caudill was the superintendent in Madison County for six years.
