Winter Weather Advisory Issued For Southern, Eastern Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - The National Weather Service in Jackson Kentucky has issued a winter weather advisory for parts of southern Kentucky, near the Tennessee and Virginia borders.

Snow is predicted overnight from 1 a.m. to 4 a.m. EST for Rockcastle, Pulaski, Laurel, Wayne, McCreary, Whitley, Knox, and Bell counties.

According to the Weather Service, periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. The weather service advises drivers to be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibilities.

Snow is predicted until as late as 6 a.m., turning to rain as
the temperature rises.
