Murder Suspect On The Run From Police Caught

LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) - State police say a central Kentucky man who left a hospital where he was being treated after a wreck that killed his passenger has been taken into custody in Ohio.

Police say 24-year-old Justin Deaton of Nicholasville is charged with murder, but left the University of Kentucky Hospital on Monday.

Kentucky State Police say Deaton was apprehended Wednesday morning in Hamilton City, Ohio, and is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky.

Police say Deaton was driving in Wolfe County early Sunday when
his car dropped off the roadway. Police say Deaton overcorrected,
causing the car to go off the road and roll several times.

His 29-year-old passenger, Christopher Charles, was pronounced dead at the scene.
