Talk Of Alcohol Sales In Garrard County

There's talk of Garrard County going wet.

A Louisville developer, interested in putting a lodge on Herrington Lake, says it would be a lot more feasible if he could sell alcohol.

4 of the 5 magistrates on the Garrard County Fiscal Court were in favor of the county selling alcohol by the drink.

County Judge Executive John Wilson says the move would create economic development for the county, but ultimately it's up to people to decide.

Wilson says a petition with the proper amount of signatures must be submitted to the fiscal court, in order for a special election on alcohol sales to happen.
