Police Investigate Death Of Young Child

An investigation is underway in Nicholas County after the death of a one-year-old girl.

Police say the girl was air lifted from Carlisle to Kentucky Children's Hospital in Lexington earlier this week, where she later died.

Police will not comment on her injuries, only to say they do not appear to be suspicious.

Her name has not been released.

It is standard for police to investigate, any time a child died.
